Rachael Calladine is a well known face on the uk jazz and soul scene, having played many times with her own band at all the famous London venues required to establish her as one of the uks top jazz and soul vocalists, including 35 shows at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and numerous appearances at Pizza on the Park, the London jazz festival, the 606 Club and the Jazz Cafe to name but a few. She is also well known with hip hop/jazz fans as the ex lead vocalist with the London based band Us3 (cantaloop/flip fantasia, Blue Note Records, EMI) with whom she toured Europe extensively, appearing at Blue Note Milan, Gurtenfest Switzerland and MTV festivals, appearing on MTV numerous times and performing regularly alongside artists such as Jamiroquai, The Brand New Heavies, Incognito, Amy Winehouse and Joss Stone.
Session work includes The Spice Girls Uk tour 1999-2000, The Brit Awards and TV work with Kylie Minogue amongst others. Dubai performances include Dubai Int Jazz Festival, Dubai World Cup, Taste of Dubai, The Chillout Festival and The Middle East Film Festival whilst clients include Burj Al Arab, Mina Al Salam, Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi, Emirates Towers, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and lots more! Dubai session work includes Etisalat, Samsung, Intercontinental Hotels and DU (yes… I sing their jingle!). TV and Radio appearances include MBC, Dubai One, Dubai TV, Radio 1 and 2 and Dubai Eye. Rachael was also a featured singer in the Time Out Award Winning Production ‘KALUBELA’ at Madinat Theatre.
As a songwriter, Rachael has also had a healthy presence on iTunes for some time, with a catalogue of internationally released material, 3 solo albums and high profile compilations such as Giles Petersons worldwide volume 2, Hed Kandi, Roger Sanchez and Cafe Del Mar. Rachael currently works with numerous labels around the globe (Tony Records, NYC, Liquid Deep UK) and has recently celebrated 3 number 1 releases in the last 12 months on the Tracksource Soulful House Chart amongst others..
Currently based in Dubai, Rachael is currently signed to Tony Records, NYC and HSR Records Italy as well as of course Bassball Records
